Led by the Live Art Advisory Network (LAAN), Talking Shop is a free event for recent graduates and early career artists (up to three years making work) working in the areas of Live Art and interdisciplinary performance practices through 15-minute advice sessions, break-out dialogues and Q&A sessions.

The next shop will be guest hosted by Scottee, the iconic trasher-performer and artistic director of Eat Your Heart Out. Talking Shop is Talking Trash is an advice and networking event especially for artists at the beginning of their career who are interested in and / or working in trash performance, low-brow pop culture or those who are operating in sub-cultural contexts outside of "the mainstream institutions" of art.

For more details and to book a 15-minute advice session please contact Cat Harrison on and give a brief desciption of what you would like to talk about.

We also recommend that everyone downloads a copy of LAAN’s Frequently Asked Questions, Top Tips and Useful Lists, as many of your questions might already be answered there.

This event is free. Places for one-to-one advisory sessions are limited.

There is a wealth of information available on various different websites, follow this link for downloadable resources.

This event is in collaboration with Trashing Performance.

The Live Art Advisory Network is a partnership between Artsadmin, Live Art Development Agency and New Work Network.
