Symposium: Dialogues

Performance Matters commissioned three creative dialogues between the artists, thinkers and cultural practitioners Jonathan Burrows, Tim Etchells, Adrian Heathfield, Joe Kelleher, Giulia Palladini and Silvia Bottiroli. You can read more about these in the dedicated Dialogues page.

For the final day of the Performing Idea International Symposium, Joe Kelleher and Tim Etchells presented findings from their individual dialogue projects. Tim Etchells’ In Silence, presented in conversation with Graeme Miller, was a part of a series of encounters Etchells is making with figures whose work and life leads them to an interest and investment in silence. Joe Kelleher’s Promises was a dialogue work casting a web of thoughts and words around the Italian contemporary performance scene with the writers and curators Giulia Palladini and Silvia Bottiroli.

Adrian Heathfield and Jonathan Burrows' performed dialogue 'holding them in front of you' was presented as part of the Performance Lectures and Redos.
